No live sports? No problem.
Content creators, professional athletes, and Regular Joes alike are finding new and creative ways to make time pass while we’re all stuck inside during this awful pandemic. One of those people putting some extra effort into finding new ways to entertain the masses is Chargers wideout Keenan Allen who is set to play a virtual game of basketball against former Ravens safety Tony Jefferson that will be streamed live on Twitch.
From the gridiron to the virtual hardwood!@_tonyjefferson and @Chargers' @Keenan13Allen are taking the sticks to represent the Suns and @LAClippers in tonight's @NBA2K action on @Twitch!
— Phoenix Suns (@Suns) March 20, 2020
Allen is set to use the Los Angeles Clippers while Jefferson, a super fan of the Phoenix Suns, will hit the hardwood with his favorite team. This whole series is actually being put on by the Suns franchise in an attempt to bring fans something they can enjoy while self-isolating.
“The Phoenix Suns will continue to give fans a virtual fix as the first NBA team to continue the 2019-20 season on NBA 2K20. During this unprecedented time, the Suns social media team developed an innovative opportunity to leverage their platforms to bring the basketball community together and drive a positive conversation in the social space. The Suns are continuing to explore additional opportunities to create compelling digital content and identify new ways for Suns fans to engage with their favorite team over the coming weeks.”
If you don’t have anything better to do, hop on Twitch and show The Slayer some love tonight.
