The long-awaited Day 2 of the NFL Scouting Combine came and went and, in extraordinary fashion, blew the doors off everyone’s minds with some insane performances by the offensive linemen. The most notable of all being Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs, who suplexed the combine like a grown man wrestling his kids on a Saturday morning.
Wirfs took the top spot in three different events, setting one combine record, matching another, and placing in four of five on Friday evening. Boise State’s Ezra Cleveland put on his own show, placing in three of the five events yesterday but winning two and placing third in another.
If you’re an NFL team in need of an offensive tackle, yesterday’s performance should leave you feeling a little bit more relaxed knowing that you don’t have to pick in the top-15 of the entire draft for a chance to grab an early-impact guy.
That being said, here are your top-5 performers in each of the five drills from Friday.
