The time leading up to the NFL Draft is always one of the most exciting, and sometimes frustrating, times of the offseason. We as fans are constantly bombarded with scouting reports, mock drafts, film threads, and other forms of media that keep us up-to-date on every little detail about this or that prospect.

With this series, I want to give the decision-making to YOU. I will pick a handful of prospects that will REALISTICALLY be around the Chargers’ selection in that specific round and leave it up to all of you passionate people.

As you all know, the Chargers are back in the top-ten this year for the first time since the 2017 draft when they used the seventh-overall pick on wide receiver Mike Williams out of Clemson. That pick was met with a lot of criticism as many felt the team needed help some where else (probably the offensive line) but they inevitably felt that the team needed another weapon alongside Keenan Allen. For context, this was just after Tyrell Williams was their #1 during the 2016 season and they couldn’t 100% rely on Allen’s health in the immediate future.

In hindsight, the pick is still being met with some skepticism. When the Bolts were on the clock, names like Deshaun Watson, Christian McCaffrey, Marshon Lattimore, and even the reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes were still on the board.

Alas, hindsight is 20/20. At the end of the day the Chargers got themselves a legitimate play-maker in Williams and there’s a good chance he still hasn’t put it all together yet.

But now things are up to you.

You are the general manager. Tom Telesco is a figment of our imagination and the Chargers are on the clock.

Who are you taking?
