The Chargers announced their inactive players ahead of their matchup with the Patriots and theirs quite a surprising name that has shown up out of nowhere.
After not appearing on the injury report at all this past week of practice, left tackle Sam Tevi will not play this week after being named one of the team’s seven inactive players for game day. Trey Pipkins will be the next man in at left tackle while Storm Norton is active and will be the team’s depth at both of the tackle positions.
Other notable players include linebacker Denzel Perryman, who sustained an injury against the Bills last week, and kick returner Joe Reed. In Perryman’s place, Nick Vigil will likely draw the start and either Tyron Johnson or K.J. Hill will replace Reed as the kick return.
The other players on the inactive list are quarterback Easton Stick, running back Troymaine Pope, offensive guard Tyree St. Louis, and defensive tackle Cortez Broughton.
