NFL: Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

After the Chargers won their third-straight game, they were bumped up a pair of spots in ESPN’s latest round of power rankings, going from No. 21 to No. 19.

The win officially improved the team’s record from a year ago and with the Chiefs expected to rest the majority of their starters, the Bolts have a prime opportunity to finish one game below .500. Yes, it wouldn’t feel the same as an actual win over Kansas City, but having the team end this frustrating season on a four-game win-streak would really set the tone heading into the offseason. Not many teams get to end their season with a victory, so this may be a nice change of pace, despite not making the playoffs.

Herbert needs 341 passing yards to tie Andrew Luck’s record from his rookie season. Since they’ll be facing the backups, this could realistically happen. After only scoring a lone touchdown against Denver, Herbert now needs four more total touchdowns to break Cam Newton’s record of 35 he set back in 2011.

With nothing to play for but pride, and not a ton to lose, this week’s season finale should be one of the most-enjoyable games of the year.
