According to the NFL's transaction wire, the Chargers placed linebacker Kyzir White on injured reserve, effectively ending his 2020 season.

The former fourth-round pick back in 2018 out of West Virginia battled back from injuries his first two seasons in the NFL to earn a starting job next to rookie Kenneth Murray in the middle of the defense to begin 2020.

This season, the former Mountaineer safety-turned-linebacker has registered 77 total tackles with four tackles-for-loss, a half of a sack, and three pass deflections in 11 games with 10 total starts.

White missed several games already this year after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and will now see his season cut even shorter due to an injury he sustained last Thursday against the Raiders.

In his place, expect to see first-year Charger Nick Vigil start at WILL linebacker while veteran Denzel Perryman continues to rehab his own nagging injury.
