The Chargers announced their inactive players for this week’s game against the Falcons and there’s one lone surprise coming from the Bolts backfield.
Joshua Kelley, the team’s 2020 fourth-round selection, is inactive this week following the return of Justin Jackson from injured reserve. The Chargers will roll with Jackson, Austin Ekeler, and Kalen Ballage this week.
Other inactive players include quarterback Easton Stick, wide receiver/kick returner Joe Reed, running back Troymaine Pope, linebacker Denzel Perryman, and offensive lineman Tyree St. Louis.
Perryman also missed last week’s game against the New England Patriots after sustaining a lower-body injury against the Bills in Week 12. Reed has also been dealing with a nagging injury the past few weeks and that has forced the team to use several different player to return kicks, including safety Nasir Adderley.
Linebacker Kyzir White returned from the reserve/COVID-19 earlier this week which means he will be slotted back into the starting lineup next to Kenneth Murray.
