The time has finally come.
On Saturday afternoon, the Chargers finally announced what we’ve all been waiting for: running back Austin Ekeler has been activated ahead of Sunday’s game against the Bills. The Chargers’ RB1 has been out with a hamstring injury that he sustained early in Week 4’s contest against the Bucs. Even after missing the last six games, Ekeler is still second on the team with 248 rushing yards.
In other corresponding moves, the Bolts are waiving defensive end Jessie Lemonier while activating defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko and linebackers Cole Christiansen and B.J. Bello ahead of Sunday.
This will be the first time Fehoko has been activated from the practice squad, while Christiansen and Bello were both activated for last week’s game against the Jets.
Fehoko fast became a fan favorite during his time on HBO’s Hard Knocks, most notably for his infectious personality and his performance of the Haka to end a practice.
we’ve activated Austin Ekeler.
