On Friday, the Chargers dropped a nice bit of good news on fans when they announced that cornerback Chris Harris will be activated off of IR ahead of Sunday’s game at Buffalo. The veteran defender and first-year Bolt has been on injured reserve since Week 4 after sustaining a foot injury against the Carolina Panthers.
In less exciting news, the Chargers are placing defensive end Melvin Ingram back on IR with what has said to be the same knee injury that forced him to miss three weeks earlier in the season. This unfortunate news is only compounded by the announcement earlier in the week that Ingram’s backup at the LEO position, Uchenna Nwosu, is also expected to miss upwards of three to four weeks with a Grade 2 AC joint sprain. In their place, linebacker Emeke Egbule and defensive end Jessie Lemonier are the two most-likely to see time at the LEO while Ingram and Nwosu are sidelined.
