SB Nation Reacts: Chargers fans see slight uptick in confidence

After the Ravens-Steelers game got postponed, I still had hope for the other two games on the docket. However, I was very much wrong.

The Texans ended up whooping the Lions 41-25 while Washington put on the Cowboys even heavier with a 41-16 final score.

Since it was expected well ahead of time that Thursday’s game were likely going to be underwhelming, it seemed like a good time to ask what everyone knows but shies away from actually saying – which Thanksgiving dishes don’t belong? During the main course, NFL fans were mostly spread across three different options. In the end, green bean casserole took the crown for most-dispensable dish with 33% of the vote.

For dessert, things were much more settled. When asked which pie needs to be removed from next year’s festivities, 56% of readers were more than happy to drop the sweet potato pie.

The food fun doesn’t stop there. Each fan base was asked to pick a Thanksgiving dish that best describes their team. Chargers fans said they think the team is the stuffing of the NFL.

Oof.

On the field, the Chargers have a difficult matchup this week traveling to Buffalo to play the 7-3 Bills. Fans around the country picked the Bills to win that game.

Chargers fans specifically are a little more optimistic this week than they were last. Confidence among fans that the team is headed in the right direction ticked up slightly to 22 percent this week, from 17 percent a week ago.
