The Chargers gave their fan base another scare, but the defense came up big when they needed it the most to finish off the New York Jets 34-28 on Sunday afternoon at SoFi Stadium.

Offensive coordinator Shane Steichen finally let Justin Herbert “cook” against the Jets and he rewarded the coaching staff with a career-high is 366 passing yards to go along with three more touchdown passes and zero turnovers. Kalen Ballage led the team in carries (16) and yards (44) on the ground while Keenan Allen recorded a career-best 16 receptions for 145 yards and another score. Mike Williams and Hunter Henry also chipped in a receiving score of their own.

The Chargers pass rush struggled again, even with Joey Bosa on the field. The team’s lone sack of Joe Flacco was by linebacker Denzel Perryman. They also had just two tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

The highlight of the defense came from slot corner Tevaughn Campbell who stepped in front of a Flacco pass for a short pick-six to give the Bolts their first points of the day.

The Chargers move to 3-7 on the season while the Jets drop to 0-10. The Bolts travel to Buffalo in Week 12 to face the Bills next Sunday.
