The Chargers are set to face the 0-9 Jets this Sunday in SoFi Stadium. That sounds great an all, but the last time the Chargers face a team without a win, they lost. I mean, I can’t imagine the Bolts losing again in the same situation, but I also couldn’t have imagined the loss to the Broncos, nor the other ridiculous outcomes that have happened this season.
But a part of me feels rather comfortable with this game. I’m not worried at all, or I guess, I’m not letting myself be worried. This is probably the only game of the season where fans can attempt to “rest easy” in expecting a win. Even though no victory is ever guaranteed in the NFL, the fan base has been stressed enough. We’ve all been stressed enough. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m not letting worry, panic, or anything similar creep into my Sunday this week. No way. Good vibes only.
That being said, I think the Chargers use this game as an attempt to let Justin Herbert run the offense on a longer leash. I think they run up the score if possible, and they just try to give the Jets an old fashioned butt kicking.
My final score prediction is 31-17 Chargers. Herbert throws for 340+ yards and three touchdowns. Keenan Allen scores his sixth touchdown of the year and goes for over 100 yards. Kallen Ballage gets over 80 yards on the ground with a score, and another 35 receiving yards. Joey Bosa gets two sacks and Uchenna Nwosu gets one, as well. Nasir Adderley is my prediction to record the team’s lone interception this week.
Now it’s your turn. How is this week’s game going to go?
