With the continued rash of positive coronavirus cases popping up on an almost-daily basis around the league, the NFL has decided to move all teams into their intensive COVID-19 protocols for the remainder of the season, according to a recent memo sent out on Wednesday afternoon.
The NFL sent a memo today saying all clubs must go into intensive protocols for the rest of the season, starting Saturday. All meetings virtual or in large spaces, mandatory masks/mouth shields in practice, etc. Goal is reduce close contacts, further mitigate risk of COVID spread

All but four NFL team’s have experienced the intensive protocols at some point already this season. All meetings requiring large groups will be virtual from here on out and everyone within the facilities will be asked to forced to wear face masks at all time, even during practices.
“It has been said many times that our 2020 season cannot be ‘normal’ because nothing about this year is normal,” commissioner Roger Goodell said in the memo. “Flexibility and adaptability have been critical to our success to date and we must continue with that approach.”
Besides just in the NFL, the case numbers are skyrocketing all across the country, so in the end this isn’t all that surprising.
