Update: A fresh comment section!

The Chargers are set to kickoff against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a little over an hour in what should be the team’s toughest test to date. While the Bucs offense got most of the publicity during the offseason, it’s Tampa Bay’s defense that has earned most of the praise through the first three weeks of the season.

The Bucs allow just 70 yards per game on the ground and are limiting opposing ball-carriers to under three yards per tote.

Their pass defense is led by a trio of young corners who are all playing extremely well in Jamel Dean, Carlton Davis, and Sean Murphy-Bunting. Their linebacking group includes a pair of extremely athletic and rangy players in Lavonte David and Devin White.

Brady will not have his best receiver available in Chris Godwin today, but the Bolts won’t have cornerback Chris Harris Jr., who would have likely matched up with Godwin often in the slot. The Chargers are also without Mike Williams, their best deep threat and most-physical pass-catcher.

Today will be the first defense faced by Justin Herbert and company that will not be missing any of their key player. From top-to-bottom, the Bucs are healthy at all three levels. There’s also no lack of star power in this one, so buckle up. It’s about to be a fun one.

Bolt up, baby!
