All good news.

On Saturday afternoon, the Chargers announced a slew of roster transactions ahead of Sunday’s contest against the Broncos.

First, the team activated running back Troymaine Pope and center/guard Cole Toner to the active roster from the practice squad. Secondly the team activated offensive tackle Trey Pipkins from the reserve/COVID-19 list and wide receiver Jason Moore was also promoted from the practice squad.

The Chargers’ final move was signing tight end Matt Sokol to the practice squad following the injury to Virgil Green this past Sunday.

Sokol was originally signed as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2019 season out of Michigan State. Sokol wasn’t often used as a pass-catcher with the Spartans but he offers great size and power in the run game at 6’6 and 260 pounds.

Pipkins being activated is huge news for the Chargers as they were potentially going to be without their top-two right tackles as Bryan Bulaga is still questionable ahead of Sunday.
