After absolutely balling out against the Jaguars in Week 7, Justin Herbert is once again being viewed as a “must start” in fantasy football this week against a Broncos defense that allowed 36 points against the Chiefs — not counting the kickoff returned for a touchdown.

CBS Sports fantasy analyst Jamey Eisenberg had this to say about Herbert and his outlook against Denver in Week 8:

“Herbert was a big boom in Week 7 as the Start of the Week against Jacksonville, and he should remain in your lineup in Week 8 as well. He had 43 Fantasy points against the Jaguars and has now scored at least 23 Fantasy points in four of five starts this season. The Broncos have limited Sam Darnold, Cam Newton and, surprisingly, Patrick Mahomes in the past three games, although I’m not counting last week as a win for Denver’s defense in stopping the Chiefs. Prior to that, Ryan Tannehill, Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady all scored at least 22 Fantasy points against the Broncos, and Herbert will be in that category this week.”

I don’t know if Herbert will be at his best throwing the ball this week against a capable secondary, which means he could decide to use his legs on occasion just like he did against the Jags this past Sunday. That’s always a quick and easy recipe for success with mobile quarterbacks. If 20 points is what is considered the baseline for a good day at the office, then I’m all in for Herbert to get there this week.

Now for today’s links.
