On Saturday afternoon, the Chargers officially activated defensive end Melvin Ingram and defensive tackle Justin Jones from injured reserve ahead of Saturday’s game against the Jaguars. In a corresponding move, the team waived defensive end Jessie Lemonier and wide receiver Jason Moore.

The Bolts also activated running back Troymaine Pope from the practice squad and have changed offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga’s game designation from “questionable” to “doubtful.”

This will be the third straight game the Chargers will be without both Bulaga and starting right guard Trai Turner. Both were added this offseason in an attempt to solidify an offensive line that has been one of the worst units in the league over the past few seasons.

The Chargers will be happy to get both Ingram and Jones back in the lineup as their pass-rush has seen a dip in production due to the lack of bodies they’ve been able to rotate in during games. In Ingram’s place, Uchenna Nwosu has done an excellent job, recording a sack and making some plays in coverage.
