With one extra day before the Chargers take the field against the Saints, here comes your second edition of the podcast just 24 hours later. But good thing I did hold off on recording as long as I did because a plethora of news involving tomorrow night’s game and the Bolts has come out over the last few hours and that gave us plenty to cover.
The first bit came from the news that star wide receiver Michael Thomas will, in fact, be OUT this week, but it reportedly has nothing to do with the nagging injury he’s been dealing with. According to reports by Adam Schefter and other insiders, the decision to hold him out stems from “disciplinary” issues. What those could be, I do not know.
As far as the rest of the Saints’ injury report, starting corner Janoris Jenkins is out once more while fellow starting corner Marshon Lattimore is listed as questionable.
The Chargers will be without offensive linemen Trai Turner and Bryan Bulaga for the second-straight week while wide receiver Mike Williams and defensive end Joey Bosa are both questionable but expected to play.
Finally, the Chargers’ 2020 schedule got shuffled a bit, and that includes the team’s bye week being moved up all the way to next week before they take on the Jaguars in Week 7. They will then face the Broncos, Raiders, Dolphins, and Jets, respectively.
