And so it continues ...
One day after it was reported that Fox NFL Insider Jay Glazer had reported that the Los Angeles Chargers had “moved on” from free agent quarterback Philip Rivers after 16 seasons, then followed up by a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that the team had not made any decisions on that subject yet, Glazer himself reported that he had not reported any news regarding Rivers and the Chargers.
(takes a deep breath in)
NBC San Diego’s Fernando Ramirez posted a video on Twitter on Tuesday of Glazer saying that he never said anything of substance on Rivers and the Chargers, that he had only off-handedly referenced the situation on Colin Cowherd’s show.
Fox NFL insider .@JayGlazer says he didn’t say the #Chargers had “moved on” from QB Philip Rivers. He said he was surprised when people texted him asking him if it was true. He says when he reports something the world knows. pic.twitter.com/1MTKpRDClv

Rivers recently moved from San Diego to Florida, signaling to many that the parting of the two sides was inevitable. But as of yet, neither the team nor the quarterback have had anything of substance to report.
Full disclosure: I once met Jay Glazer at the season six premiere of The League. He was nice.
