The defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers tonight for the first Sunday Night Football of the 2019-20 NFL season. While it will not impact tonight’s contest, this game did get a little more interesting yesterday when the Patriots signed former Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown to a 1-year deal.

That move has the Patriots going from one of the most likely Super Bowl contenders to the favorite to win the Super Bowl again this year. It also had the Steelers fans go from laughing at the Raiders to being afraid they’re about to watch the 2007 Patriots Part 2 this time featuring their former player.

But tonight is just an early season game between two teams with playoff hopes. This game has a chance to factor into tie-breakers some three months from now, and it will also give us a much clearer picture of just where exactly these teams stand. It should be a good game.
