Sitting at 2-2 after the first four weeks of the season, the Los Angeles Chargers will face off against division rivals the Denver Broncos in week 5. The Broncos notably have one of the more impressive pass rushing duos in the National Football League thanks to Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. Unfortunately for Denver, one half of that duo is expected to miss the remainder of the 2019-20 NFL season after tearing his ACL. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter a few minutes ago:
Broncos’ OLB Bradley Chubb tore his ACL and is out for the year, source tells ESPN.

This is terrible news for the Broncos and people who simply enjoy watching the best players play. It is, however, very good news for Trent Scott, Sam Tevi, and the continued health of Philip Rivers. While protecting the franchise from Von Miller alone is still no picnic, it is comparatively an easy task when looked at next to doing so from both he and Chubb. The Chargers already deserved to be considered favorites going into the week 5 clash with John Elway’s spiraling club, but this certainly improves matters.
