Chargers at Dolphins Inactives: Mike Williams and Travis Benjamin are out, Andre Patton will play

The Chargers and Dolphins are just about an hour away from kicking off, and now we have the inactives lists for both teams. As usual, the Chargers’ inactives are the players we expected. While there are some disappointing inclusions, there are no surprises. Nobody was going to try to play through injury against the Dolphins.

With Mike Williams, Travis Benjamin, Hunter Henry, and Virgil Green all sidelined with injuries, the Chargers are really going to need some of their pass catchers from further down the depth chart to step up in a big way. This is Andre Patton’s opportunity to make a claim on future playing time especially given how bad Travis Benjamin has been this season. At the tight end position, we will see whether Sean Culkin or the still relatively new Lance Kendricks gets the lion’s share of playing time. Finally, it looks like we will have to wait for October to see the Money Badger. It’s the Ty Long show again this week.
