The inactives lists for both the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions have been released with kickoff just a little under an hour away.

This is the second week the Chargers have been without Michael Badgley, but Ty Long filled in admirably against the Colts and is poised to do the same today in Detroit. Easton Stick, Roderic Teamer, Jatavis Brown, and Cortez Broughton were also inactive a week ago and it’s no surprise to find them on the report again. Hunter Henry is obviously expected to miss at least a month, so we can get used to him being inactive on gamedays, too. Michael Davis was lost to injury during last week’s game, so at least today they knew ahead of time.

The absence of Jarrad Davis, Taylor Decker, and Da’Shawn Hand is great for the Chargers’ chances today. Decker, in particular, is a huge blow to the Lions as they will now have to protect Matthew Stafford from Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram with a backup tackle. And good luck to the Lions front seven defending against Austin Ekeler without Hand and Davis.
