Should you draft one of the top 3 TEs in fantasy? - Jeff Ratcliffe
As for tight end, the value cost of spending a second-round pick on the position is significant and has a huge impact on your roster construction. There’s much better value to be had from TE4 to TE8. These players, who are coming off the board between rounds 5-8, includes O.J. Howard, Hunter Henry, Evan Engram, Eric Ebron, and Jared Cook. None of these players is as sure of a thing as the top three, but each comes with a big-time fantasy ceiling. Better yet, they won’t cost you anywhere near as much on draft day.
Dynasty Players to Sell (2019 Fantasy Football) - Sheldon Curtis
Maybe it’s the beard, but I cannot believe Allen is only 27 years of age. By my count, he’s suffered at least nine serious injuries (including a lacerated kidney and an ACL tear), but has started 16 games each of the last two years. Is this a new trend or is he on borrowed time?
Should You Handcuff in Fantasy Football? - Derek Lofland
RB Melvin Gordon was the seventh-ranked fantasy running back last year, but Ekeler was 24th, tallying 149.3 fantasy points last year. He is the perfect handcuff, he could have flex value this year if Gordon stays healthy, but he could also be an RB1 if Gordon were to go down with injury. There could be some competition for the backup spot from RB Justin Jackson, but Ekeler is in the driver’s seat for that position and he is the fantasy handcuff to own for the Chargers in 2019.
Why corner may become worrisome for the Chargers this season - Tyler Schoon
“I’d just go back and just watching the team in some big games, I thought, man, they can use another body, another guy at corner would be a big help, and unfortunately Jason Verrett just couldn’t stay healthy. Michael Davis has some intriguing skills, but I think they look to upgrade that position pretty early on in this draft…”
Expected fantasy points: The most and least efficient fantasy running backs - Scott Barrett
Perhaps an even bigger concern for Gordon is just how well Austin Ekeler has played over the past two seasons. Over this span, Gordon ranks fourth in fantasy points scored over expectation (+96.2) but Ekeler ranks fifth (+81.9). Last year, Gordon ranked seventh in PFF grade, Ekeler sixth.
