The Legend of Visor Phil - Chargers.com (video)
Minicamp introduced the Charger community to the newest additions to the team, and maybe a new look for an old face.
Breaking down the fantasy stock of the top RBs by elusive rating - Scott Barrett
Last season Ekeler ranked seventh, Gordon ninth in elusive rating. Ekeler was also our sixth-highest-graded running back last season, with Gordon was right behind him in seventh. Gordon is being drafted as a top-six pick but I think there’s a legitimate risk (not being factored into his current ADP) that Ekeler might be able to turn this into a committee backfield. Luckily, Gordon has been good enough that this risk shouldn’t be large enough to push Gordon out of the first round in our rankings.
The NFL's team-killers ahead of the 2019 NFL season - Ben Linsey
Miller is back for seconds as a team-killer, this time against an AFC West foe. Against the Chargers, he has racked up a league-high 87 pressures since 2006. Miller isn’t getting it done on volume alone, though, as his pass-rush win rate (20.6%) and his pressure rate (19.1%) both rank in the top five of all pass-rushers with 100 or more pass-rushing snaps against the Bolts.
The surprise offseason standout for all 32 teams - NFL Nation
Hampered by a nagging knee injury, the Penn State product lost his starting job to Michael Davis last season after starting 15 games in 2017. Now healthy, Williams is moving like his old self and is battling Davis to win his starting job back. "He's earned that opportunity," Chargers defensive coordinator Gus Bradley said. "It'll be a great, competitive situation come training camp." Williams' reemergence is an important development for the Chargers, who are looking to build more depth in the secondary.
Los Angeles Chargers undrafted rookie spotlight: Roderic Teamer - Travis Wakeman
There are simply too many players in front of Teamer on the depth chart for him to be able to make this roster. Even if he has a tremendous camp on special teams, it will likely just land him on the practice squad. However, catching the eye of Bradley and other players on the team bodes well for him, at least in that capacity.
