Chargers favored in 12 of first 15 games of the NFL season

The Chargers are currently expected to be among the NFL’s best.

With nearly four months until the 2019 NFL season kicks off, oddsmakers at CG technology have released point spreads for the first 16 weeks of the regular season. We’ve collected the lines for just the Chargers so you can see how Vegas views their chances. And well, things are looking good.

Here is the full list of the lines. The first number indicates the point spread and the second number indicates the moneyline (where available). The moneyline briefly explained: to win $100 on a Chargers win against the Colts in Week 1, you’d have to wager $155. The PK against Tennessee means oddsmakers feel the game is too close to call one way or the other.

Week 1: vs. Indianapolis Colts (-3) (-155)

Week 2: at Detroit Lions (-4)

Week 3: vs. Houston Texans (-5.5)

Week 4: at Miami Dolphins (-6)

Week 5: vs. Denver Broncos (-7.5)

Week 6: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (-4.5) (-230)

Week 7: at Tennessee Titans (PK)

Week 8: at Chicago Bears (+3)

Week 9: vs. Green Bay Packers (-3.5)

Week 10: at Oakland Raiders (-4) (-190)

Week 11: vs. Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico City (+2.5) (+122)

Week 12: BYE WEEK

Week 13: at Denver Broncos (-1)

Week 14: at Jacksonville Jaguars (-1)

Week 15: vs. Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) (-175)

Week 16: vs. Oakland Raiders (-9)

For those who didn’t read the headline, that’s 12 out of 15 contests in which the good guys are favored to win. In case you’re wondering, that’s the same number as Chiefs, and obviously more than either the Broncos or Raiders.

There is still obviously a lot of time left between now and when the games count, but prior to any additional cuts, signings, or injuries, the Chargers are considered one of the NFL’s top contenders.
