It appears as though the team’s recent success in the Draft and the somewhat bland, but effective Free Agency work, has been enough to earn GM Tom Telesco a multi-year extension in LA.
The Chargers signed GM Tom Telesco to a multi-year contract extension at the completion of last season. It’s the third deal for Telesco while with the Chargers. He signed a 3-year contract extension before the start of the 2015 season due to expire at the end of the this year.

Telesco and his staff have turned in a few successful offseasons in a row now and the Chargers find themselves with a healthy amount of young talent and in a position to make a couple runs at a title shot here in the twilight of QB Philip Rivers’ career. The team has decided to reward TT’s work by giving him a multi-year extension to keep him around a little longer.
No official length on the contract has been been released yet but I think that his work the last couple of years has been effective and efficient. Sure, he has probably held on to some guys a little too long (Jahleel Addae) and taken a few swings that missed (Derek Cox), but he has been on a roll lately and the team is better for it.
