Thanks to yet another division loss today, the Los Angeles Chargers were guaranteed to pick no worse than 7th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. And thanks to the Jacksonville Jaguars beating the Indianpolis Colts, the Chargers will actually pick one spot better than that at 6th overall.
So far, most mock drafts have had the Chargers attempting to select their next franchise quarterback with that selection. It currently seems likely (though who knows what the draft evaluation process will do to change that?) that one of either Oregon Justin Herbert or Alabama’s Tua Tagavailoa will fall to 6th. I have yet to watch either of them in-depth yet, so I cannot provide any analysis as to which (or either) I think makes more sense for the Chargers, but we will hopefully have some evaluation of both (and others) sooner than later.
What do you hope the Chargers do with the #6 overall pick?
