The Los Angeles Chargers are getting set to kickoff against the Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico City in about an hour and we now know they will be doing so without some of their more important players.
Both starting offensive tackles for the Bolts will be sidelined due to injury. Neither Russell Okung nor Sam Tevi was good to go tonight, so instead we will see Trent Scott and Trey Pipkins. Neither player is good enough to start in the National Football League, and thanks to the Chiefs high-powered offense, Philip Rivers and co. will probably be forced to drop back to pass a lot. This has a chance to go very badly for El Capitan.
Standout rookie linebacker Drue Tranquill will also be missing in action this evening. He has been the only truly exciting member of the Los Angeles 2019 draft class and his absence will be noticeable. He is one of the more athletic and better-tackling defenders on the team, and he has also been one of the best special teams players in the NFL.
The rest of the inactives are players we have come to expect to be without in third-string quarterback Easton Stick, receiver Geremy Davis, defensive tackle T.Y. McGill, and running back Justin Jackson.
