It’s Friday and of course that means it’s injury report time. The Los Angeles Chargers as they are wont to do have released a rather lengthy list. Tight end Hunter Henry is, of course, still out. The team also has three players that remain doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Rookie defensive back Nasir Adderley has struggled to stay healthy since training camp and he appears unlikely to play. Michael Badgley’s injury situation was apparently worse than we were initially led to believe and he will most likely miss his fifth consecutive game. Justin Jackson was banged up prior to last week’s game and with the return of Melvin Gordon it is reasonable to assume he will sit against Denver.
Once you get pas the list of doubtful players, we are still left with five additional names listed as questionable. Aside from the usual suspects in Travis Benjamin, Mike Williams, and Virgil Green, we also now have star pass rusher Melvin Ingram and veteran linebacker Thomas Davis. Ingram’s absence represents a serious blow to Gus Bradley’s defense, but Davis being unable to suit up could actually be a blessing in disguise since it should force more athletic players like Kyzir White and Drue Tranquill into action.
