BREAKING: Chargers fire OC Ken Whisenhunt

NFL: Houston Texans at Los Angeles Chargers Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Chargers announced that they have relieved Ken Whisenhunt of his offensive coordinator duties.

The move comes after the team’s 3-5 start to the season where they’ve come off a historic four-game stretch of becoming the first team in the Super Bowl Era to rush for under 40 yards in four-straight games.

At the halfway point of the year, the Chargers are currently averaging 19.6 points per game (23rd), 350.6 total offensive yards (17th), 281.1 passing yards (6th), and 69.5 rushing yards per game (28th).
