The Los Angeles Chargers roster has been ravaged by injuries, and it appeared that they might have to travel to Chicago to take on the Bears without the services of their star wide receiver, Keenan Allen. Luckily for the Chargers, however, it looks like the former Cal Bear will be active for today’s contest despite being sidelined at practice by a hamstring injury.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the good news via Twitter:

The Chargers have been far less effective on the offensive side of the ball ever since Melvin Gordon returned from his holdout. The last thing they needed while going up against one of the National Football League’s most talented defensive units was to lose their best playmaker. While it is, of course, unknown how close to 100% he will be, even half of Allen is still significantly better than pretty much every other receiver on the roster not named Mike Williams.
