The Los Angeles Chargers continue to struggle with health up and down the roster. Today, it’s wide receiver Andre Patton that looks like he will be unable to go on Sunday. The young wideout was downgraded today to doubtful, and that has had a corresponding roster move to add depth at the position. Jason Moore was pegged by Michael Peterson as the team’s most intriguing offensive undrafted rookie free agent this offseason, and although he failed to make the active roster at the end of the preseason, he was added to the practice squad.
Moore is a big-bodied wide receiver of the sort the Chargers have loved in recent years. He showed decent straight line speed at his Pro Day (4.57 40-yard dash), but it was his three-cone time that really stood out at 6.62 seconds. Overall, he was an interesting developmental player and he will potentially get a chance to show the team he belongs on Sunday.
In order to make room for Moore, the Chargers have waived tight end Stephen Anderson.
