Refocused, NFL Wild Card Round: Los Angeles Chargers 23, Baltimore Ravens 17 - PFF Analysis Team
Veteran edge defender Melvin Ingram III had a spectacular game against the Ravens. He was the best Chargers defender on the field. While Ingram made plenty of plays rushing the passer and even sacked Jackson twice, and he was even more impressive against the run. His play was a huge reason why the Ravens could not get anything going on the ground.

The Badgley Show: Chargers-Ravens Recap - Travis Kincaid
Michael “Money” Badgley sure did live up to his nickname today. Had it not been for a mistake by the holder, Donnie Jones, Badgley, an undrafted rookie out of Miami, would have been five for five on field goals including a 53-yard bomb late in the first quarter. Accounting for the Chargers first 12 points, the young buck out-dueled veteran and All-Pro kicker, Justin Tucker.

Aside from the fourth quarter, it was an excellent day for the Los Angeles defense. The Chargers finished the day with seven sacks and three forced turnovers. Ingram had two sacks and a fumble recovery while Adrian Phillips had a fumble recovery and an interception.

This team might not have a LaDainian Tomlinson-type player, but the Bolts teams that won five AFC West titles in a six-year span last decade often didn't feel as though they had the mental fortitude that exists with this year's group. Even though they cut it close with a sloppy second half Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium, the Chargers might be more trustworthy.
