Chargers at Ravens inactives: Brandon Mebane will not play

NFL: Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

We found out earlier that running back Austin Ekeler would be active today, but we now know the full inactive list via the Chargers official Twitter account:

Nose tackle Brandon Mebane will miss today’s game against the Baltimore Ravens to be home with his child and you have to appreciate that the man has his priorities right. He will definitely be missed as the Ravens are an incredibly run heavy offense.

Second-year offensive lineman Forrest Lamp will be inactive yet again. That leaves Scott Quessenbery and Trent Scott as the backup linemen for this morning’s contest.

Veteran linebacker Jatavis Brown is, as we already knew, out and is a huge loss for a defense that already had some struggles against the Ravens with him available. Hayes Pullard will most likely continue to take over Brown’s snaps in the base defense. In nickel and dime packages, that role will potentially be filled by Adrian Phillips.

Overall, the only real surprise today is that Lamp is inactive, but he was hopefully not going to see the field anyway.
