The Los Angeles Chargers will not activate tight end Hunter Henry from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list today, And that means that the young tight end will not be available to play in tomorrow morning’s Wild Card playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport had the report via Twitter:
The #Chargers are not activating TE Hunter Henry from PUP today, meaning he won’t play tomorrow, source said. It’s wait and see from here.

The Chargers won 12 games without Henry and they will have to try to win their 13th without him as well. There was some optimism early in the week that he would be on the field in Baltimore, but the coaching staff went out of their way to lower expectations as the week progressed. It is not any kind of surprise that he is going to be inactive, but it is a real disappointment. The Ravens were able to handle the Chargers offense last time they faced off and it would have been nice to add another weapon in Henry.
