Week 1 of the NFL season is upon us and so is the first edition of the SB Nation Chargers FanPulse.

This week, we asked members of the FanPules to weigh in on three topics:

  • The Chargers Week 1 game against the Kansas City Chiefs
  • Current confidence level in the direction of the team
  • The worst NFL rule entering the 2018 season.

Here were the results:

Will the Chargers win or lose in Week 1?

The Chargers are favored in their home opener by 3 points, but Chargers fans expect them to not only win but to cover easily.

NFL: Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Chargers Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

How confident are you in the direction of the team?

Very confident: 57 percent

Somewhat confident: 31 percent

Meh: 8 percent

Not very confident: 2 percent

Not confident at all: 2 percent

There is a lot of hype behind the Los Angeles Chargers coming into the 2018-19 season, and from the looks of it Chargers fans are definitely buying in. 88 percent of polled fans are confident in the team’s direction.

What is the worst NFL rule?

Nobody seems to like the helmet rule this year and Chargers fans are no different. It does not help that it has been inconsistently officiated in the preseason.
