With less than a week to go before they host the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers have gotten their star players back on the practice field. Joey Bosa, Casey Hayward, and Trevor Williams are all practicing and so Gus Bradley’s stacked defense will actually be stacked on the NFL’s opening weekend.
That defense also got rookie Justin Jones back, which will probably be important with Corey Liuget sidelined with a suspension to begin the year. He does not have the experience or athletic talent of Liuget, but he comes closer to replacing what the Chargers will be missing than most of the other interior defensive linemen would.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Chargers also finally got to see Tyrell Williams back and practicing. It will be interesting to see if he resumes his role as the #2 receiver behind Keenan Allen, or if second-year receiver Mike Williams can usurp that role.
Finding room for all of your good players is certainly a better problem to have than being without access to your good players, though, so Chargers fans should be happy today.
