Geno Smith, Los Angeles Chargers: The Jets' 2013 second-round pick is battling Cardale Jones for the backup job behind Philip Rivers.

Hunt is coming off a rushing title and will remain heavily involved in the Chiefs’ offense. Likewise, Gordon was one of last year’s highest-volume backs. Look for that to continue will little competition for touches on the Chargers’ depth chart.

Still, the Chargers look to have the advantage in most respects.

Los Angeles Chargers: Tom Telesco’s best and worst decisions (No. 4) - Tyler Schoon

Send King off the edge to take down the quarterback. But the most impressive attribute he displayed last season was his ability to tackle with authority and technique. The “too small, too slow” guy that fell to the fifth round eliminated opposing backs in the open field with ease.
