It’s obviously been well over a year since Forrest Lamp tore his ACL on the first day of full pads during last year’s training camp. A very, very, long year.
It honestly seems like yesterday the entire staff and were parading out in the streets (or was that just me?) following his selection during the 2017 draft.
With the average recovery time of an ACL-tear around 12 months, fans, and most importantly, me, are all wondering when we are going to see the staff give the green light to Lamp to participate. Unfortunately up to this point, we have gotten nothing but tales of caution and tempered optimism about his return.
As painful as it is to wait any longer, I would rather suffer for another couple weeks if it means there’s a higher chance of Lamp starting week one of the regular season. But do you know what helps me get by in trying times like this?
