Bolts From The Blue’s own Daniel Stebbins was at the Los Angeles Chargers joint practice with the New Orleans Saints today and reported that offensive tackle Joe Barksdale appeared to suffer an injury. Stebbins via Twitter:

It was encouraging news even initially that Barksdale was able to walk off the field under his own power after being attended to by the trainers. The knock he sustained still seemed to be lingering as Stebbins noted:
Barksdale on own walking, talking to trainer. He returned after the injury but it looks he’s still hurting— Daniel Stebbins (@dstebbs) August 22, 2018
Hopefully, the Chargers starting right tackle is able to shake this off and get back on the field sooner rather than later. Los Angeles is not particularly deep at tackle as Sam Tevi has demonstrated repeatedly throughout the first two games of the preseason against the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. Barksdale is not an All Pro by any stretch of the imagination, but he is easily the best right tackle on the roster and they can’t afford to lose him for any long period of time.
