This has not been a good start to Training Camp for the Chargers outstanding secondary.
First, Jason Verrett blew out his Achilles during a conditioning test.
Then 1st round pick, and stud safety, Derwin James has started camp on the NFI list and has yet to practice.
Now things have gotten even worse.
Chargers CB Trevor Williams suffered a leg injury while playing defense against Mike Williams on a go route and had to be helped off the field.

This is not good. In the 5 days since players reported for training camp the Chargers CB group has gone from being absolutely loaded to being extremely thin. It’s Casey Hayward, mostly slot guy Desmond King, and a bunch of young, unproven hopefuls.
The one upside here is that the Chargers still have an outstanding pass rush, which will help make up for some loss of talent at the CB position, but if Trevor’s injury is serious, this is not going to be good at all.
Hopefully its a sprain or twisted ankle and was just more painful than serious.
UPDATE:
Lynn apparently thinks it is just an ankle sprain, nothing official yet but thats what Lynn said.
