The Chargers have already lost Hunter Henry to a season ending torn ACL. On the first day of training camp, they have now lost another TE, Rookie Austin Roberts.

Austin is the son of Chargers Runningbacks coach Alfredo Roberts. He came in for a workout earlier in the offseason and earned a spot on the 90 man roster.
He went down in practice on day one and had trainers around him while he was down on the ground for a few minutes, then we saw him get up and walk over to the medical tent under his own power, I didn’t even notice a limp.
Just like Forrest Lamp last year, it turned out to be worse than it looked, and he is done for the year.
Fortunately for the Chargers, Roberts was a long shot to make the roster in the first place. The team seems to really like Sean Culkin and Braeden Bowman behind Virgil Green.
Hopefully that is the first, and last major injury of camp.
