Jason Verrett will likely be a talent we will never be able to see perform.
Sources: Nightmare again for the #Chargers, as CB Jason Verrett suffered an injury during the conditioning test that likely will cost him the season. Brutal luck on reporting day.

Just awful awful news for Verrett. Many of us have held onto hopes that he could play this year and get a full season with a talented defensive backfield around him and talented pass rush in front of him. Instead, we may never see Verrett play, at least in bolts, ever again.
The guy just can’t stay healthy. His body is failing him at every turn and his career is probably going to be over before it had a chance to begin. It is a real shame for a guy who had very promising talent and seems like just a really good guy.
Luckily for the Chargers, due to Verrett going down last year, they have discovered they have a fantastic stable of CBs that can pick up the slack. Casey Hayward is a top 3 corner in the league, Trevor Williams is beyond underrated, and Desmond King also had a ton of good tape last year.
I hope Jason is able to heal up quick, and maybe its not as bad as it initially appears, but for now, it looks like the Verrett “era’ is done.
UPDATE:
Chargers are concerned that CB Jason Verrett tore his Achilles during a run on the first conditioning test of training camp, per source. Still undergoing tests to confirm if it’s torn.
