With Training Camp just over a month away, the Chargers have released the schedule of practices that are open to the public.
These are the dates and times of the #Chargers training camp open to the public. The team will also have themed days: Youth Football Day (Aug. 2), Special Olympics Day (Aug. 6), Salute to Military Day (Aug. 13), First Responders Day (Aug. 15) and NFL Flag Football Day (Aug. 20) pic.twitter.com/eYn0cIvAM9— Fernando Ramirez (@RealFRamirez) June 21, 2018
Some key dates here are: August 4th is the Chargers’ Blue/White intrasquad scrimmage, August 22nd/23rd are joint practices with the New Orleans Saints.
More details can be found here, the highlights are that they have expanded the standing room area in front of the bleachers, and an expanded “interactive fan zone.” They have also added a picnic area which will be open before, during, and slightly after practice.
It looks like the Chargers are trying to make the practice experience more than just watching Geno Smith throw hospital balls over the middle while you wait to try and get autographs after practice.
Like in years past, a few of the staff from BFTB will be heading out for a few practices, so if any of you want to come watch practice with us, stay tuned to our twitter feeds for the dates we will be at practice.
