Following his sixth season in the National Football League, Los Angeles Chargers edge defender Melvin Ingram finally cracked the NFL Top 100 list. Ingram playing opposite Joey Bosa in Gus Bradley’s 43 defense matched his career high with 10.5 sacks during the 2017 NFL season. That output was good enough for Ingram to make his first Pro Bowl and slot in at #76 on the NFL Top 100 list.

It’s arguable that Ingram’s 2015 season was the best of his career, but what should be inarguable at this point is that Melvin Ingram is one of the very best players at his position or any other in the National Football League. Ingram complemented his sack total with a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries including one that he took all the way to the house for his first touchdown as a professional. Ingram is undoubtedly one of the NFL’s most physically gifted players and despite his excellent production, he may actually still have room to get even better in his seventh season.
