At the end of the half, The score is 28-25, with the visitors holding on despite a 22 point surge by the home team in the 2nd quarter.
I received the ball to begin the 2nd half, feeling comfortable with where I was sitting, only three points down. After almost completely abandoning the run in the first half, I thought it was time to get Melvin Gordon in the game. 2 passes for 31 yards, and 2 rushes by MG for 27 yards put me in prime position on the 2 yard line, where Rivers passes it to Tyrell Williams on the WR screen and lets him work his magic. PAT good by Travis Coons.
32-28 (home)
On the ensuing kickoff, the visitors decided to kneel the ball in the end zone for a touchback. A broken up pass by Trevor Williams led the Chargers to 2nd and 10. Bosa comes off the edge, sacking Rivers for a 10 yard loss.
The very next play was a sack strip and recovered by Brandon Mebane to the 2 yard line. This looked like a chance to go up by two scores.
Unfortunately, an incomplete pass, followed by a -5 yard screen to Tyrell Williams, followed by a pass broken up by Trevor Williams, put the Chargers on the 7 yard line, losing 5 yards on the drive. The chip shot field goal by Coons is good.
35-28 (home)
After a 39 yard return by Branden Oliver, the visiting Chargers went on a 6 play, 65 yard drive, culminating in a pass to a wide open Keenan Allen in the back of the end zone. A quick 2 point conversion to Tyrell Williams put the visitors up going into the 4th quarter.
35-36 (visitors)
