Los Angeles Chargers Select LB Kyzir White

NCAA Football: West Virginia vs Virginia Tech Ben Queen-USA TODAY Sports

With the 119th overall pick, the Los Angeles Chargers select hybrid linebacker/safety Kyzir White out of West Virginia. White has a big frame, good athleticism, and he ‘s a big hitter. He was a team captain and team leader. It is interesting that the Chargers have elected to draft another safety, but it is an encouraging acknowledgment of the fact that they needed more talent there. With White and first-round selection Derwin James, opposing receivers are not going to enjoy going across the middle in 2018.

That is four picks on defense to start the draft. And Telesco continues to add size and athleticism to the defense. The defense is really starting to look like the kind of talent The Chargers are now very deep at safety. Not all of these guys are going to make the team.

What do you think of the pick? Let us know in the comments.
