On Thursday morning, members of the Chargers organization, including offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt, were seen meeting with former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson following his performance at the university’s pro day, via MMQB writer Jonathan Jones.
From me and @AlbertBreer: the Chargers met with Lamar Jackson after his pro day today. OC Ken Whisenhunt was present.

With the 17th pick in this year’s NFL draft, the Bolts are in an awkward spot when it comes to the top players at each position of need. Linebacker prospects such as Roquan Smith, Tremaine Edmunds, and Rashaan Evans could all be off the board by the middle of day one. Same goes for defensive tackle prospects Vita Vea and Maurice Hurst.
As for the top quarterbacks, Jackson would be the only one to potentially fall to the Chargers without having to trade up. Since head coach Anthony Lynn has made it known that he believes mobile quarterbacks are the future in the NFL, a Jackson-Chargers merger would not be surprising in the slightest.
