2018 NFL Fan Vote Mock Draft - New York Giants Are on the Clock - Pick 2

NFL: New York Giants-GM Dave Gettleman Press Conference Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday, the first overall pick was decided on by you the readers. By receiving 1127 of the total 2002 votes, USC quarterback Sam Darnold has been selected by the Cleveland Browns.

First overall voting total: Cleveland Browns

Now on the clock: New York Giants!

Earlier this week, the Giants parted ways with defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (now a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers). How will this change their draft strategy?

Here are some potential first overall picks:

Saquon Barkley: There are plenty of people willing to tell you that the Penn State running back is the best player in this year’s draft, and the Giants are definitely lacking at the running back position. Could this be where Barkley goes off the board?

Josh Allen: Allen has all of the physical ability you look for in a quarterback. He also played some stunningly mediocre football against some mediocre competition in college. He’s pure projection at this point.

Baker Mayfield: He may lack the ideal height for a quarterback, but otherwise he has all of the traits that you would normally be looking for to lead your offense. Also, depending on who you ask he has some character questions.

Josh Rosen: Many people considered Rosen the obvious pick at #2 with Darnold off the board, but he is no sure thing.

Bradley Chubb: Chubb is the consensus top pass rusher and a logical replacement for Jason Pierre-Paul at #2.

Quenton Nelson: The best interior offensive lineman in this draft would be a strong selection for anyone and the Giants do not have the best offensive line.
